We had a great day up at Create Pilates exploring how the spine moves in 3 dimensions. The aim of this movement exploration was to see how many ways we could get the spine to move, not only directly but also by keeping it still and driving motion from above and below (this is quite often referred to as relative motion). We finished with some choreography to integrate everything.
Think of all those muscles which attach between the bones and over the joints all getting a chance to lengthen and contract. That makes for a very happy body!
